Picking up where Church of Satan founder and author of "The Satanic Bible" Anton Lavey left off, Ivan D'Amico delves further into the dark, murderous, and vile history of the religions of the world. As a society, we are more and more enlightened every day as to the true nature of our being, the origin of life, and the creation of the universe. THE SATANIC BIBLE- THE NEW TESTAMENT explores these scientific explanations and uses them as evidence that the religions of the world are based on myths and lies, yet religion is still used as a reason to torture and kill millions of people, as it always has been. Using examples from history, the news, and personal experience, Ivan D'amico begins to dissect the reasons we have needed religion in the past, as well as presenting evidence that it is doing our society more harm than good. The ones who have been put in charge of our spiritual well being have proven time and time again to be as corrupt, and in many cases more so, than others in positions of authority, and it is time that authority is taken away from them and given back to the people. The enormous financial resources and power that have been given to the gurus, prophets, temples, churches, and mosques of the world has been squandered and used for personal gain by the leaders of those religions, and THE SATANIC BIBLE THE NEW TESTAMENT not only accuses those who have grown wealthy at the suffering of others, but provides answers and strategies for how to deal with the spirituality of this modern age.

The Satanic Bible The New Testament Book One edition by Ivan D'Amico Religion Spirituality eBooks

There are certain books that you buy just because the cover or title looks good, you hope it has more than that to offer, and they generally succeed about 10% of the time in delivering enough thought provoking rhetoric to last through lunch. The others sit on my shelf after a few brief moments with me and simply radiate with the adoration they are given for their clever artwork or striking title. This started out as such a book, and I had very little hope for it having substance, other than perhaps a few historical witch trials or some beautifully reproduced demonic artwork. Not being a fan of fiction, the reviews and description said it had many non fictional chapters on; atrocities committed by the church (murders by priests, child abduction/rape, extortion, etc), a chapter with what many believe are mythological characters (God and Satan) in a short story about the creation of the world, a chapter explaining why heavy metal and music in general are essential for our well being as well as that of the community, a chapter on why law and punishment should be COMPLETELY rebuilt from the ground up, but the author also provides answers, and they are very well thought out (albeit a bit naive, but it makes more sense than the current method of teaching convicts how to be career criminals in a place where you find all the connections you need for a lifetime of crime, unless that is your intention for your civilization, and it probably is for this one. TSBTNT is written to impeccable standards of English (spelling, grammar, AND syntax), which made it much easier to believe in what the author was presenting to me across time and space. Nothing makes an argument fall apart more quickly than poor spelling or other simple errors, but there were few enough to introduce me to a new way of thinking that absolves me from guilt while maintaining a hierarchal and accountable system of social structure, which he (the author) promised to get into with more detail later on. In conclusion, you can read this book picking a chapter that interests you the most and keep going like that, but you can really open up to any page and find an interesting story or commentary. Damico is either totally out of his mind or a visionary for a better system of Government, but you CAN’T call his book uninteresting. It has everything from tongue in cheek humor to French revolutionary poetry, true stories about Satanic heroes and Christian priestly villains, even a recipe for human infant from a 1930’s Russian underground periodical (purely for the purpose of pointing out that any civilization, OUR civilization, is only a few meals away from cannibalism and torch wielding townsfolk, but it’s not trying to be shocking for the sake of shock. Every object or situation has a purpose in the book, and his stories and commentary, what we would normally think of as “fables” or even simpler, “opinion”, have matured into well written commentaries on the effects of spiritual organizations on populations over specific periods of time. He even cites examples of Russian Christian castration cults, “torture” and “exorcism” churches, and many examples of what I can only call “god approved rape, torture, murder, even necrophilia”.

Last thing, I hesitated buying it due to a few scathing reviews, but I noticed that all of the criticism came from people with no purchase confirmation, meaning they hadn’t read the book (actually making me want it more!). All of the reviews from people who HAD purchase confirmations LOVED it, so that was the last time I listen to opinions of people I don’t know.

The Satanic Bible The New Testament Book One edition by Ivan D'Amico Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

I have waited a long time for someone to do exactly what Ivan D'Amico has done and that is write an update to what could possibly be the most influential book of the 20th century. It is well researched, well written and more importantly, a book that if Anton were alive today, he would approve. A must read for anyone interested in this school of thought.
The Satanic Bible The New Testament Book One

Like I stated in the title this is not a genre I would normally buy but I was intrigued. The book is not what you would expect from just seeing the title. The author explored many topics that most view as taboo, especially if you were raised in a religious household. I found it extremely interesting and an eye opener. The many flaws and contradictory teachings that are explored that are seen in religion are not brought to light often. I give the author a lot of credit for putting to print these issues along with others and doing it in a thought provoking and articulate manner (in most cases).

I would recommend this book be read with an open mind. You may agree or not with his point of view but it is worth the time to explore. It may even persuade you to look into your own beliefs a little more closely.

To sum it up A thought provoking good read!
There are no Demonic incantations contained in this book. The author says he cannot give you the knowledge of how to conjure up a demon, or to send it back, of which he furthur says "YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW A LOT MORE THAN HOW TO GET ONE TO SHOW UP." (Capital letters are the author's).

Instead, he takes to task the ancient doctrinal philosophies of religion and shows how religious leaders have used their position to gain power, riches, and influence for themselves and their Institutions and to deceive, oppress, and control the common people. The Bible and Catholic Church are examined primarily because the author grew up in a Catholic enviornment, but he belives the same analysis and conclusions can apply to followers of the Koran, Book of Mormon, etc.

I found this book to be an extremely interesting read, and highly recommend it, especially to anyone who has ever had a bit of intellectual skepticism regarding the Draconian authoritarian stance and actions of major religions over the centuries, relative to their purported mission of saving souls and guiding humanity along a right path. For those not skeptical of the true motives of "religions", you may feel at least slightly differently following a perusal of this work.

The book is obviously well researched, and is written in a straightforward, sometimes very blunt conversational manner. It is the author's position that religious tomes written long ago do not actually explain or prove anything in a literal sense, but instead give a story of an aspect of life for which mankind does not or did not at that time have an answer.

He takes the "Seven Deadly Sins" of Catholicism, and argues that with a slightly different interpretation than the Church uses they appear as normal, healthy human desires which are necessary for the propagation and advancement of humanity. For example, without LUST there would be no sexual desire, and humans would likely not reproduce to populate the earth to any great extent. By making these natural desires and thoughts "sins", a sense of guilt is instilled in the believer which can only be removed through the Church's Sacrament of Reconciliation. D'Amico also includes his own version of a more relevant list of sins people commit against humanity.

In other chapters he examines the Inquisition and the Crusades (called "Holy Wars" by Christians)and the real motivations behind these events, which were the cause of suffering for untold numbers of people in the Middle Ages. The recently brought to light virtual tidal wave of child molestation offenses by Catholic clergy is also discussed and reviewed.

Additionally, D'Amico presents interesting, highly entertaining (and possible?) alternatives for the story of the "Garden of Eden", and the creation of the planet Earth. The latter is portrayed as a collaborative school-for-gods project with the collaborators being Jehovah and Satan. he also injects anecdotes from his own personal life and journey of discovery.

I give this book a strong "buy" recommendation!
